Here it is in April, 2020 and I have had nothing to post for several weeks since all live shows have been canceled due to COVID-19. For quite some time I've been going to very few shows anyway, and I … Continue reading →

  • Retiring Thinnet 2016-Sep-08
I guess it was around 15 years ago that I set up the networking in my house. A few years after that I ran what was to become know as structured wiring for phone, cable, and networking—but I never got … Continue reading →

  • Movies in December, 2015 featuring The Armor Of Light, Spring Night, Summer Night, and Slapstick of Another Kind 2016-Jan-05
Show People at the Dryden, December 1: Jenn and I wanted to check out this playful comedy from 1928. It was definitely a fun film, and had some clever slapstick comedy as well. Blood Simple. at home on DVD, December … Continue reading →

The Weather Underground at the Flying Squirrel, August 3: Born in 1970, I was barely aware of the Weather Underground when they were active from the tail end of the U.S.–Vietnam War through the early 1980s. They were a radical … Continue reading →

Portrait of Jennie at the Dryden, May 2: Jenn and I went to see this as part of the Eastman House's Nitrate Picture Show. It's an well-written tale of star-crossed lovers—or perhaps just an artist's delusion. Salad Days: A Decade … Continue reading →
