Rochester Americans United Chapter Annual Meeting with Maggie Garrett

FreeStarting at 7:15 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Brighton Memorial Library is the Annual Meeting of the Rochester Branch of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Maggie Garrett will present a lecture titled Current Attacks on the Wall of Separation: The Legislative Landscape as Seen from Washington.
Ms. Garrett is the Legislative Director for Americans United for Separation of Church and State In Washington, DC. She represents AU before Congress and the Obama Administration and oversees the state legislative program. Garrett frequently speaks about church-state issues in television and radio appearances and in the national press. Prior to her tenure with AU, Garrett worked for the ACLU of Alabama and Georgia, where she litigated high-profile cases on issues including the separation of church and state, free speech, reproductive rights and voting rights.
