We Write Short Shorts: The Art of Writing Flash Fiction begins in the Rundel Arts Room on the 1st floor of the Rundel Memorial Building and continues for a total of four wednesdays at the same time.

Flash fiction—a/k/a the "short short" —combines the gut punch of story with the precision of poetry in a few hundred words—but how? This class will introduce you to the craft elements necessary to an effective short-short — character, conflict, significant detail and point of view — through readings of published short-shorts. In-class exercises will help you craft your own story. Suitable for writers at any level.
