Discussing political, economic, and cultural factors, #pressfreedom guru Dr. Karin Deutsch Karlekar '89 will give a snapshot of the state of free speech around the world. Currently the director of PEN America's Free Expression Programs, Karlekar's work has spanned Human Rights Watch, The Economist Intelligence Unit, and Freedom House, and taken her on advocacy missions to countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
