The Little will screen Purple Rain (Albert Magnoli, U.S. 1984, 90 min.) as part of the Little Summer of Music and Art series.

In Purple Rain, Prince plays "The Kid", an angry Minneapolis musician on the rise with his band, the Revolution, escaping a tumultuous home life through music. While trying to avoid making the same mistakes as his truculent father, the Kid navigates the club scene and a rocky relationship with a captivating singer. But another musician, (Morris Day), looks to steal the Kid's spotlight — and his girl.
