Carli<\/strong> as part of the Silent Tuesdays series. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In a cinema obsessed with swordplay and simple melodrama, Teinosuke Kinugasa created this silent film bordering on the avant-garde in its use of a subjective camera and striking visual effects. The audience experiences the emotions of a man who believes himself a murderer and empathizes with the hardships laid upon his protective sister.
