His job is to keep his ranking officers supplied with women and luxury goods. When a questionably motivated admiral, obsessed with how the army and air force are overshadowing the navy in the war, decides that the first man killed on Omaha Beach must be a sailor, he assigns Garner to film the event and bring back the proof.
