His new record, Dirty Soul, is a raw collection of songs about redemption in the face of self-destruction and addiction. His fiction can be found in Yemassee (winner of the 2018 Yemassee Prize in Fiction), Breakwater Review (runner-up in the 2019 Fiction Contest), Carve, and elsewhere. He currently lives in Idyllwild, CA, and is touring in a trio that can  <\/p>\n<p>To the Rochester music scene, Declan Ryan is a fifteen-year recidivist. After a wild youth that included barnstorming DIY tours, the infamous Instant Album series, and a stint building violins in Spain, he's settled into his wheelhouse as a craftsman and storyteller.
