{"id":353,"date":"2009-05-23T22:30:18","date_gmt":"2009-05-24T02:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jayceland.com\/blog\/?p=353"},"modified":"2009-05-27T17:18:24","modified_gmt":"2009-05-27T21:18:24","slug":"the-enablers-at-montys-krown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayceland.com\/blog\/archive\/2009\/05\/23\/the-enablers-at-montys-krown\/","title":{"rendered":"The Enablers at Monty's Krown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It's been a while, but I got back to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/montyskrown.com\/\">Monty's Krown<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myspace.com\/montyskrown\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jayceland.com\/images\/MySpace_13x13overFFFFFF.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"MySpace link\" width=\"13\" height=\"13\" \/><\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=875+Monroe+Ave,+Rochester,+NY&amp;ll=43.14182,-77.58577&amp;spn=.007,.014&amp;hl=en\">875 Monroe Ave.<\/a>) to catch <strong>The Enablers<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myspace.com\/enablersrockband\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jayceland.com\/images\/MySpace_13x13overFFFFFF.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"MySpace link\" width=\"13\" height=\"13\" \/><\/a>.  It was fun to get back to the old haunt, and the band didn't disappoint.  They play a strong mix of punk and rock, although at this point it's mostly cover songs.  Their originals were solid and the mix of music &#8230; I mean &mdash; wow &mdash; who plays the Hollies?<\/p>\n<p>I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them &#8230; even if they do change their name.  <em>[In my opinion, The Enablers is a fine name, but at the request of the lead singer, I added my favorite fake band name to their list of possibilities: Fist the Bride even though it was destined for a fake metal band.]<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It's been a while, but I got back to Monty's Krown (875 Monroe Ave.) to catch The Enablers.
