DESCRIPTION:Often the term consent is believed merely to encompass permission related to sexual activity. Though this aspect of the conversation is important and necessary\, it is only one piece of the story. Consent is a highly personal ideology\, influenced by lived experience and aspects of identity. Facilitators will build upon attendees' lived experiences through discussion and interactive activities. We aim for attendees to leave with a greater understanding of consent as it relates to sexual activity as well as everyday interactions. The workshop will be presented by the Rochester's Sexual and Reproductive Justice Task Force.   \nThe Flying Squirrel Community Space is offering intentional programming for 2019. To Isaac's astonishment\, Angelica appears to come to life through his lens\, and from that moment he is haunted by her spirit and by love. The film is set in the present while reminiscent of the past\, perhaps because director Manoel de Oliveira wrote the script in 1952 but directed the film in 2010 at the age of 101. A family dinner reunites three generations before members choose either to leave for a modern way of life on the mainland or to remain on the island to maintain their Gullah roots and way of life. When it turns out that the nurse is the long-lost love of the Don's bodyguard\, he must choose between love and loyalty.
