DESCRIPTION:The Dryden will screen Mackenna's Gold (J. Lee Thompson\, U.S. 1969\, 128 min.\, 35mm) as part of the Once Upon a Time . . . at the Dryden series.  \nA group of outlaws capture a marshal who\, they believe\, holds the secret in their pursuit of hidden gold\, protected by ancient Apache spirits. Most of the film was photographed on 65mm stock\, known as Super Panavision 70\, and the soundtrack includes original music by soul legend Quincy Jones. Featured in the impressive ensemble cast is Gregory Peck\, Omar Sharif\, Telly Savalas\, Ted Cassidy\, and Julie Newmar.
