SUMMARY:Pulp Fiction screening (2017-Nov-18 @ 9:30 p.m.)
DESCRIPTION:The Little will screen Pulp Fiction (Quentin Tarrantino\, U.S. 1994\, 154 min.) as part of the Saturday Night Rewind series. \nVincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) are hitmen with a penchant for philosophical discussions. In Quentin Tarantino's groundbreaking second film\, their storyline is interwoven with those of their boss\, gangster Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) ; his actress wife\, Mia (Uma Thurman) ; struggling boxer Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) ; master fixer Winston Wolfe (Harvey Keitel) and a nervous pair of armed robbers\, "Pumpkin" (Tim Roth) and "Honey Bunny" (Amanda Plummer). \n [source: Little Theatre website\, 2017-Nov-13]

SUMMARY:Mr. Deeds Goes to Town screening (2017-Nov-19 @ 2 p.m.)
DESCRIPTION:The Dryden will screen Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (Frank Capra\, U.S. 1936\, 115 min.\, 35mm) as part of the Capra series. \nGary Cooper plays the title character in this quintessential Capra story of a country fellow who inherits a fortune and tries to do the right thing with it\, much to the dismay of everyone around him. This lighthearted and witty film is the first to show what would become the Capra trademark: an ordinary man trying to do good and the corrupt officials who try to stop him. Watch for the great Jean Arthur as a fast-talking journalist in the film that gave Capra his second Oscar for best director. \n [source: George Eastman Museum\, 2017-Nov-13]
