The two Mario Banana films\, one black and white\, one color\, are typical: in a single 100-foot reel\, drag queen Mario Montez eats a banana. Likewise\, in Haircut (No. 1)\, Billy Name gives John Daley a haircut as Freddy Herko watches. But Warhol's superstars manage to make even the simplest actions erotic. In Soap Opera\, "Girl of the Year" Baby Jane Holzer stars in Warhol's version of a daytime soap whose episodes are intercut with actual TV commercials. DESCRIPTION:The Adirondack Mountain Club will host a lecture by Tyler Socash titled Lessons from the Trail: A Transformation After One Year on the Pacific Crest Trail\, Te Araroa\, and the Appalachian Trail.  \nAfter 28 years of outdoor recreation inside the Adirondack Park\, Socash went beyond the Blue Line to complete a 13-month trek across the Pacific Crest Trail\, New Zealand's Te Araroa\, and the heralded Appalachian Trail. It's a lively tale\, nearly 7\,000 miles in the making\, of mountaintop euphoria\, unexpected trail magic\, encounters with long-distance legends\, heartbreak and renewal. This grand adventure into the wilderness inspired Socash to help defend the wildest remaining places in New York's Forest Preserve\, namely\, the newly purchased Boreas Ponds Tract.  If you've ever imagined completing a thru-hike someday\, this is the meeting to attend!
