DESCRIPTION:The Visual Studies Workshop will screen The Search For Silverspear (Curtiss Markham\, U.S. 1989\, 60 min.) followed by a discussion with the director Curtiss Markham.  \nWhen he was just 13 years old\, Rochester native Curtiss Markham started making the hour long epic The Search For Silverspear using cut-out animation and a Super 8 camera. Originally produced from 1987 to 1989\, this Sword-and-Sorcery adventure was digitally restored and went to win Best Animated Short Feature at the Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival in 2015.
