SUMMARY:Rummage Sale Day at the Hungerford
DESCRIPTION:The Hungerford is home to many artists and many artists are collectors. And we only have so much room for our collections. In light of that\, we are hosting a Rummage Sale Day on Saturday\, July 9 from 10am—3pm. A number of studios are participating in Rummage Sale Day during the Hungerford Second Saturday open studios. There will be an eclectic mix of used objects for sale (in addition to our artwork) from a diverse group of people. Grab some goodies at the market then head our way to rummage through our stuff! \n [source: Facebook\, 2016-Jul-4]

SUMMARY:Chimes at Midnight screening (2016-Jul-9 @ 1:30 p.m.)
DESCRIPTION:The Dryden will screen Chimes at Midnight (Orson Welles\, Spain 1966\, 116 min.\, DCP). \nOn par with the mastery of Citizen Kane in terms of both the innovative narrative construction and the compelling performances of its talented cast (including Welles\, Jeanne Moreau\, John Gielgud\, and Keith Baxter)\, Chimes is the realization of its director's dream to bring five Shakespearean tales together in one film. The result is staggering. The film was also known as Falstaff\, deservedly so because this is his (and Welles's) film. Falstaff\, a bumbling\, lovable\, bloated oaf\, is a complex character whose cowardice and avarice disturb while his good humor warms. The filmmaking is Welles at his apex; the cutting of the battle scenes is as intense as any in cinema's history. \n [source: George Eastman Museum website\, 2016-Jul-4]

SUMMARY:The Presstitutes theatrical performance (2016-Jul-9 @ 7:30 p.m.)
DESCRIPTION:"The Presstitutes\," developed with the help of Geva Theatre Center\, is a farce about the staff of a dying newspaper in Western\, NY\, and the gubernatorial campaign of a dark horse politician joining forces to save themselves. Along the way\, issues of integrity become . . . complicated. The result is a humorous and stark commentary on the state of journalism and politics in contemporary America. \n [source: MuCCC website\, 2016-Jul-5]
