It is now recognized as the planet's largest civic event and it led to passage of landmark environmental laws in the U.S., including the Clean Air, Clear Water and Endangered Species Acts.
@ the Library: Today, the Library (a division of the City of Rochester) — and the City — are working on many green initiatives. The Office of Energy and Sustainability (OES) is part of the City of Rochester's Division of Environmental Quality, and was created to make Rochester a model for innovative and ecologically sustainable operations, policies and practices, and to connect the City with regional and national sustainability resources.
