The Dryden will screen The Lost World (Harry O. Hoyt, U.S. 1925, 91 min., 35mm) with live piano accompaniment by Philip C. Carli.

Heading down to South America to attempt a rescue of a lost colleague, a group of explorers discover a magisterial plateau populated by a variety of prehistoric creatures. Featuring the stop-motion effects of the great Willis O'Brien and based on a story by Arthur Conan Doyle, The Lost World is the film that set the standard for all future forays into lands of the lost.
