The Dryden will screen The Bridges of Madison County (Clint Eastwood, U.S. 1995, 135 min., 35mm) as part of the Eastwood as Director series.

Robert James Waller's runaway bestseller was adapted for the screen for Eastwood to direct and star in opposite the inimitable Meryl Streep. Adult children Carolyn and Michael are called to their mother's house in Iowa to settle her estate. Her burial instructions don't match the plans their father had made, leading to a cache of journals and letters detailing a brief affair in 1965 that changed the course of many lives and involved a mysterious photographer named Robert Kincaid.
