While an Artist is many things, they are first and foremost a human being on a unique journey. Artists, as it is for all creatives, have the responsibility of simultaneously creating a culture and questioning culture. Art should make you feel, think and respond to the world in a different way after encountering it. Artists are healers, thinkers, and visionaries. In this series, Photo AIRS, Megan May, will take an in-depth look at several aspects of her own theory and practice of the Artists place in society today. The artist needs community and the community needs artists. Period.
