Sarah Timmerman lecture: "Abortion Bans: What happens when Church and State are not kept separate"

2019-Sep-23 @ 21:00 - 22:30

Free

Sarah Timmerman is a community organizer and current President of the Rochester Chapter of the National Organization for Women, where she works to improve the lives of women in Rochester and beyond. As a recent graduate of Nazareth College, she has dedicated much of her research to reproductive healthcare and the implications of current laws.

"The terrifying rash of state abortion bans spreading throughout the U.S. has captured the nation's attention, but in order to stop this trend, those who are fighting back must also focus on its deeper cause: the ever-crumbling wall of separation between church and state."
