Calling All Playwrights and Writers! Geva Theatre Center and Writers and Books are once again collaborating to give regional playwrights the opportunity to bring their works to local audiences. Both full-length and one-act plays written by regional playwrights (living now or having lived within the five county-area: Monroe, Livingston, Wayne, Ontario, and Genesee), selected through an open competitive process, will be given a developmental reading by professional actors at Geva. The purpose of the festival is to give promising regional writers a chance to hear their work aloud, and thereby gain information they need to rewrite and to take the script to another level of development.
