The MuCCC will host a performance of Mariposa and the Saint: From Solitary Confinement, A Play Through Letters by Sara (Mariposa) Fonseca, and Julia Steele Allen.

In 2012, Mariposa was sentenced to fifteen months in isolated confinement. Years later, she is still there. Through letters with longtime friend and current collaborator, Julia Steele Allen, Mariposa brings her experience to the stage. Join us for a performance and a conversation about the growing movement to end isolated confinement in New York's prisons and jails.
