LGBTQ Resource Center Open House
2016-Jan-27 @ 18:00 - 20:00
FreeThe 42 year old agency moved into the newly renovated space in December 2015, and the LGBTQ Resource Center will provide a wide variety of resources to the entire Rochester Community. The Resource Center will focus on providing resources to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) communities, but family, friends and all allies will also find valuable resources in the new space. The Rochester LGBTQ Resource Center is home to the Gay Alliance Library and Archives which includes nearly 10,000 publications available for circulation. The Library collection also has rare books that are made available to researchers and students who visit the Center. The LGBTQ Resource Center also includes art gallery, a meeting room, The LGBTQ Education Center, and the David Bohnett Cyber Center which provides six computer stations that community members can use to access the internet for no charge to conduct job searches, complete resumes, or complete homework.
