On the 1st Floor of the Rundel Library Building, Learn to Make a Grapevine Dream Catcher.
Join us in learning how to make a dreamcatcher. Traditionally a Native American craft, dreamcatchers have become very popular statement pieces in interior spaces. In this class you will learn how to make your very own personalized dreamcatcher. We'll use small grapevine hoops and learn how to weave through the center. Feel free to bring in any beads, feathers, etc. that you can use to personalize your piece. All materials will be provided. Your finished product will be a beautiful piece that can be hung anywhere! Catherine Costanza has a degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Her work is inspired by storytelling, symbolic imagery and craft. In 2010 she launched a line of home decor and accessories called Catherine Rising. She has worked with various brands such as Free People, Nasty Gal, and he work sells internationally. She moved to Rochester in 2013 and works out of her studio in the Hungerford Building.
