Kwanzaa is a time for African Americans and people of African descent across the diaspora to gather together in celebration of heritage and achievements, in reverence for the Creator, in remembering the past, in recommitment to cultural ideas and in celebrating the good. It is important to note this is a cultural celebration, not a religious one. It is celebrated from December 26 to January 1.
