Dr. Franziska Eckert will present a lecture titled Facing the Guilt, Remembering the Victims: A German Physician Confronts the History of Her Family and Profession in WWII in the Upper Auditorium (Room 3-7619) of the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Dr. Eckert, a radiation oncologist from Tüebingen, Germany, will discuss the story of her discovery of the involvement of her family and profession in Nazi war crimes. Her story dramatically explores the relevance of facing history to better address the moral dilemmas of the present.
