Chuck and Duck

2019-Jun-29 @ 19:30 - 20:53

The Dryden will screen a program titled Chuck and Duck as part of the Warner Bros. Animation series.

Chuck Jones was instrumental in creating the look and feel of Warner Bros. animation, and he went on to produce Tom and Jerry shorts in the 1960s, as well as the classic 1966 television adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Here, we revisit some of his Warner high points with The Ducksters (1950), Little Beau Pepe (1952), Rabbit Seasoning (1952), Duck Dodgers in the 241⁄2th Century (1953), No Barking (1954), One Froggy Evening (1955), There They Go-Go-Go (1956), What's Opera, Doc? (1957), and Robin Hood Daffy (1958). We will also highlight Daffy Duck in Holiday for Drumsticks (Arthur Davis, 1949), Stupor Duck (Robert McKimson, 1956), and A Star Is Bored (Friz Freleng, 1956).
