In the Kate Gleason Auditorium of the Bausch and Lomb Library BuildingOnline only, Bethann Shapiro Ord will review State: a Team, a Triumph, a Transformation by Melissa Isaacson.

State is a compelling first-person account of historical gender discrimination in sports as well as the triumph of a group of girls in suburban Chicago, who created a women's H. S. team that became state champions just three years after Title IX passed.
