The Cinema will host a Blessing of the animals. Help raise funds for two worthy rescue groups. Bring your pets to the Cinema for a blessing! Our excellent accounting consultant, Christopher Hennelly, is organizing a neighborhood event, fundraiser to benefit animals (thanks, Christopher!). October 4th is the celebration day for St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. The Cinema will host a blessing of the animals starting at 5:30 P.M. There is no charge for the blessing, but there will be a silent auction to raise funds. Afterwards, bring your pets home, then come back to the Cinema by 7:00 p.m. to watch a classic movie from Franco Zeffirelli: Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972), about the life of St. Francis. Proceeds from the event will benefit two local rescue groups: Brindle Posse Rescue, Inc., and Kitten Korner Rescue, Inc.
