All too often the voices of non-masculine in our movements are silenced and their perspectives and concerns go unheard. What about our culture allows this to happen? What can we do differently to allow for the efforts and insight of non-masculine community-members to flourish and guide us? A "Fishbowl Conversation" is a structured way to begin addressing these issues. In our version of the Fishbowl event, we will create a safe space to ask questions and share our perspectives by asking attendees to self-select based on their experience of male privelege into two groups: those who benefit from it and those who do not. Each group will be given an opportunity to ask questions of the other group, through a moderator who screens questions. Individuals within the group answering questions do so only on a voluntary basis and are under no obligation to answer just because they chose to attend the event.
