The Dryden will screen a program titled Magic at the Movies featuring L'Album Merveilleux [Incomplete] (Gaston Velle, France 1905, 1 min., 35mm), Unmasking the Mediums (Bray-Paramount, U.S. 1917, 4 min., 35mm), [Houdini Stunts] (U.S. ca. 1907—1923, 19 min., 35mm), and Haldane of the Secret Service (Harry Houdini, U.S. 1923, 84 min., 35mm), all with live piano accompaniment by Philip C. Carli.

It's a night of Magic at the Movies. See a trick film where drawings come to life! Watch as the tricks of a medium are exposed by Hereward Carrington! Witness Harry Houdini escape from straightjackets! Gasp as a manacled Houdini jumps off the Weighlock Bridge in downtown Rochester in 1907! These sensational short films are followed by a feature that Houdini called "a counterfeiting story of thrills galore."
