Rochester Academy of Science's Fossil Meeting, Dinosaur Research in 2015: Eggs, Feathers, Amazing Finds, and more

2016-Feb-02 @ 19:30 - 21:30

The Rochester Academy of Science's Fossil Meeting will be in the Downstairs Meeting Room in Brighton Town Hall. Michael Grenier will discuss Dinosaur Research in 2015: Eggs, Feathers, Amazing Finds, and more.

Fossil Section Member and paleontologist Michael Grenier will present a family-friendly slide-show talk on "Dinosaur Research in 2015: Eggs, Feathers, Amazing Finds, and more." He spent four days at the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology conference in Dallas in October, where he attended over eighty presentations on cutting-edge and largely not-yet-published advances in bird, pterosaur, and dinosaur research. He will present an interesting selection of these, including the development of flight in Mesozoic birds and that of swimming in penguins, newly- found species of dinosaurs and birds, climate and ecology evidence, Tyrannosaur evolution, swimming Spinosaurs, the color of dinosaur eggs, and much more.
