The Dryden will screen The Mongreloid (George Kuchar, U.S. 1978, 10 min., 16mm) "a story of a man, his dog, and the regions they inhabited, each leaving his own distinctive mark on the landscape" followed by The Philadelphia Story (George Cukor, U.S. 1940, 112 min., 35mm)

A wealthy heiress (Katharine Hepburn) wants to remarry, but her plans are complicated by her scheming ex-husband (Cary Grant) and a newspaperman (James Stewart in the role that won him his Oscar) snooping around the family's dirty laundry. Nominated for numerous other Academy Awards, including Best Picture, this is among the finest examples of Hollywood studio filmmaking during its golden era.
