The Dryden will screen Meet Me in St. Louis (Vincente Minnelli, U.S. 1944, 113 min., 35mm).

Judy Garland stars as Esther Smith, one of four daughters of a prominent St. Louis businessman around the time of the World's Fair in 1904. Her world is turned upside down when she falls in love with the boy next door and her father informs the family that they are moving to New York. A holiday classic and one of Minnelli's first musicals, this film brought us some excellent songs, including "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "The Trolley Song."
