Each month, Writers and Books participates in the citywide First Friday program. We pick a theme, and keep our doors open until 10:00 p.m. In addition to the fun, we're hosting on the first floor, you can also peruse our bookshelves and buy some cheap reads or check out the Wide Open Mic at 7:00 p.m. on the second floor. Our open mic, Rochester's longest-running open mic, is hosted by Norm Davis. Stop in and see us! December 4: Blind Date With a Book — It's back! We'll select a variety of books, wrap them in brown paper packaging and write descriptive words on them. Pay just one dollar to take one home with you!
