Difficulty in finding female ancestors has many causes. They are mentioned in fewer sources and the sources treat them differently. Census, naturalization, military records, land records—give different information about women. Marian will share how to locate harder-to-find sources produced by women and suggestions for what is often the most difficult puzzle—finding a wife's maiden name.
