Mourning in the Morning: African Americans in Mount Hope Cemetery

In the Kusler-Cox Auditorium of the Rundel Library Building Rose O'Keefe will present a lecture titled Mourning in the Morning: African Americans in Mount Hope Cemetery.

This presentation is based on a walking tour in the southeast quadrant of the cemetery that highlights the African Americans in that section. Attendees will learn about the 19th-century notables that include the Rev. Thomas James, Dr. Charles Lunsford, Willie Lightfoot, Rosetta Sprague Douglass and family, James McCuller, the Douglass Family and the Dinkle and Bunton families.
