The Cinema will host a screening of Shocking! Spooky! Saturday Shorts as part of Anomaly—The Rochester Genre Film Festival featuring:

• Toe (Chad Thurman, Neal O'Bryan, USA 2019, 7 min.): "Horror, A stop-motion gothic folktale. A starving young boy eats a human toe that he finds in the ground. Later that night, something comes to his bedroom wanting it back."
• La Llorona (H. J. Leonard, India 2019, 23 min., Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi with English subtitles): "After a harsh breakup, Pranay decides to ease the pain with a night of heavy drinking. Little does he know that his life is about to change when he encounters a young undead bride looking for revenge."
• Look Twice (Kyle Wilson, USA 2018, 8 min.): "Sci-Fi, A night surveillance security guard spots a trespasser on the property, then regrets grabbing their attention once he realizes the intruder is paranormal."
• The Original (Michelle Garza Cervera, U.K. 2019, 13 min.): "Sci-Fi, A couple struggles with letting go, dependency, and the extreme choices we are willing to make in pursuit of happiness."
• Bar Fight (Benjamin R. Moody, USA 2019, 5 min.): "Action/Horror, When a terrifying machete-wielding cult walks into a bar, one bartender is in for the longest night of his life."
• Labrys (BJ Colangelo, USA 2019, 7 min.): "Sci-Fi/Action, First dates are always nerve-wracking, especially as you find out more about who the other person truly is."
• corruption (Jason Ewert, USA 2019, 4 min.): "Experimental/Horror, With a new apartment, a writer descends into creativity and madness. Part of the 2019 Straight 8 film competition: one super 8 cartridge, no postproduction, filmed in sequence, original audio track composed without seeing the film."
• Five Course Meal (James Cadden, Canada 2019, 6 min.): "Horror, Mark and Jenny agree to take part in a mysterious experiment for money. Things get exceptionally messy."
• Capitán Kinesis (Carles Jofre, Spain 2019, 11 min., Spanish with English subtitles): "Fantasy, Sebastián is a retired superhero who lives alone in a small flat. He leads a quiet life and it's been ages since he last used his powers, but an unexpected visit puts his world at risk."
• Stari Grad (Old Town, Jack Beck, USA/Croatia 2018, 9 min., Croatian with English subtitles): "Sci-Fi/Fantasy, A boy, hiding from artillery fire, makes a wish for peace, with unexpected results."
• The Boogeywoman (Erica Scoggins, USA 2019, 18 min.): "Horror, In the fever of her first period, a curious teenager is drawn to her small town's local legend, only to find that the 'Boogeywoman' is flesh and blood—the mother she never had."
