{"id":44,"date":"2007-12-07T22:37:01","date_gmt":"2007-12-08T03:37:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jayceland.com\/blog\/archive\/2007\/12\/07\/cavalcade-and-old-boy-at-the-krown\/"},"modified":"2007-12-11T23:03:39","modified_gmt":"2007-12-12T04:03:39","slug":"cavalcade-and-old-boy-at-the-krown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jayceland.com\/blog\/archive\/2007\/12\/07\/cavalcade-and-old-boy-at-the-krown\/","title":{"rendered":"Cavalcade and Old Boy at the Krown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I headed down to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/montyskrown.com\/\">Monty's Krown<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myspace.com\/montyskrown\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jayceland.com\/images\/MySpace_13x13overFFFFFF.gif\" alt=\"MySpace link\" border=\"0\" height=\"13\" width=\"13\" \/><\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=875+Monroe+Ave,+Rochester,+NY&amp;ll=43.14182,-77.58577&amp;spn=.007,.014&amp;hl=en\">875 Monroe Ave.<\/a>) to check out the bands there.  It's been a long time since I last visited &mdash; I think the last time was in July.  Anyway, I had a great time &#8230; just like \"old times\".  I talked with a friend of mine and he said that this was about as good as it gets.  Usually it's just the usual crowd consisting of a fair number of heavy-drinking old metal heads.  But even that has appeal and brings back memories &mdash; memories punctuated by missing parts, but memories nonetheless.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the first band up was <strong>Cavalcade<\/strong> who played some solidly good hard rock.  <strong>Old Boy<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myspace.com\/oldboy2006\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jayceland.com\/images\/MySpace_13x13overFFFFFF.gif\" alt=\"MySpace link\" border=\"0\" height=\"13\" width=\"13\" \/><\/a> followed them and were fantastic as usual.  So far I've seen them twice and both times I was really blown away.  I guess it pays to front a hard acoustic-rock band with three excellent guitarists and back it up with electric bass and a solid drummer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I headed down to Monty's Krown (875 Monroe Ave.) to check out the bands there.
