Writing Your Family History: A Four-Part Series

2017-Mar-25 @ 10:30 - 12:00

In the Rundel Arts Room on the 1st floor of the Rundel Building, Lisa Kleman will present the first of a four-part series titled Writing Your Family History.

Perhaps you are the family storyteller, remembering the tales told by those who have passed. Or perhaps you are the genealogist, collecting the facts and photos and relationships. You often say, "I should write this down. I should tell their story, my story." Well, this is the time to do it! Whether you are a beginning or an experienced writer, join us in this four-week workshop and preserve your family's history for the future. Lisa Kleman has been teaching writing courses for more than two decades, both at the college level and for community workshops. Currently, Lisa is researching and writing a book and articles about her own Rochester relatives (the Dossenbachs), as well as giving local talks (at the George Eastman Museum, the Century Club, Historic Brighton, Greece Historical Society, and for Rundel's Rochester's Rich History Series).
