Tuesday Topics Lecture by Lisa Hoyt: "Refugees in Rochester"

2017-Feb-21 @ 12:12 - 14:12

Free

At today's Tuesday Topics in the Kate Gleason Auditorium of the Bausch and Lomb Library Building, Lisa Hoyt will present today's Tuesday Topics lecture titled Refugees in Rochester.

The United States is struggling to agree on how to assist refugees fleeing war-torn areas of the world, often arriving with serious health risks, economic difficulties and mental health strain. Find out what determines how wide a country will swing open their borders in a resource-limited world, and learn about the resettlement process and how Catholic Family Center has helped over 15,000 refugees resettle in Rochester.
