The Younger Gang returns to Abilene Bar and Lounge! Based in the traditions of Old-Time Appalachia and classic Americana, The Younger Gang seeks new interpretations of old music without losing touch with its roots. Notorious In the latter part of 1860's, the Younger Gang was a band of train robbin'/bank robbin' outlaws. Fast forward a century and a half and you'll find a southern born classical Eastman grad who sells her soul to the devil for a ticket back to depression era Appalachia to become the most bitchin' old-time banjo picker north of the Mason-Dixon Line. On her travels back north she is joined by three companions of a different time and origin. Electric elements and modern textures are spun into gritty, down-home Old-Time traditions to create a sound that is a living and breathing embodiment of a timeless tradition.
