The Dryden will screen Speedy (Ted Wilde, U.S. 1928, 85 min., 35mm) with live piano accompaniment by Philip C. Carli as part of the America's Favorite Pastime series.

In a rollicking action comedy that rivals the masterful Safety Last, Harold Lloyd plays Harold "Speedy" Swift. A dreamer and schemer, Speedy gets himself involved in a number of outrageous slapstick stunts in his attempts to hold down a job. The highlights include a climactic mad dash across New York City in a horse-drawn trolley and Speedy's equally uproarious taxi ride to Yankee Stadium with terrified passenger Babe Ruth (playing himself!).
