The Dryden will screen Some Like It Hot (Billy Wilder, U.S. 1959, 121 min., 35mm) as part of the Holidays series.

Often considered the pinnacle of Billy Wilder's career for its subversively sexual cleverness and outrageous slapstick, this delightful romp features the inexorable blond bombshell Marilyn Monroe as a love-seeking alcoholic singer. Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon provide memorable performances as a duo of jazz musicians who, after witnessing a gangland murder, eagerly seek shelter by dressing in drag and joining an all-girl band.
