Solar Eclipse: What to Expect

2017-Aug-17 @ 12:00 - 13:00

In the Kate Gleason Auditorium in the Bausch and Lomb Library Building is a discussion titled Solar Eclipse: What to Expect.

On Monday, August 21, 2017, the moon's shadow will sweep across the continental U.S. in a solar eclipse and Rochester will see the sun 70 percent eclipsed. Please join us at the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County for a program by Steve Fentress, Director of the RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium, on this solar eclipse with tips on safe viewing and other interesting information. Steve says, "We're next! Rochester is in the path of totality for an eclipse on April 8, 2024!" and will discuss this as well. This free program is geared for adults, teens and older children.
