This workshop will explore the fluidity of live video as image, object, and environment. Participants in this workshop will be guided through the process of Projection-Mapping, which will enable them to precisely map two-dimensional images onto three-dimensional spaces, surfaces, and objects. There will be an emphasis on investigating the potentials of the screen, as a self-aware space through the physical embodiment of images by various constructions. Applications for this process includes the design of live video systems for theater, dance, music, architecture, and installation. In addition to Projection-Mapping, this workshop will cover basic midi-controlled video, audio-reactive video, and other live video programming tools within Resolume Arena. Experience using Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere is recommended.
