How to Avoid Fraud in Grant Writing—Guidance for Small and Grassroots Organizations

2018-Jun-22 @ 10:00 - 11:30

Free

In the Kate Gleason Auditorium of the Bausch and Lomb Library Building, Robyn Miller, Maranne McDade Clay, and Susan Sadinsky will present a lecture titled How to Avoid Fraud in Grant Writing—Guidance for Small and Grassroots Organizations.

A Buffalo woman recently defrauded non-profits and businesses in Erie County by falsely representing herself as an experienced grant writer with connections to New York State funding. As a result of an investigation by the Office of the NYS Attorney General, the woman pleaded guilty to multiple felonies and is awaiting sentencing to a state correctional facility. This Free workshop will give non-profits information on how to avoid this kind of fraud!
