Eugene Richards' films screening and discussion

The Dryden will host a discussion with Eugene Richards along with a screening of Richards' films Rain Will Follow (Eugene Richards, U.S. 2016, 15 min.), a five-minute excerpt from Richards's new film Thy Kingdom Come, A Procession of Them (Eugene Richards, U.S. 2008, 5 min. 49 sec.), Stepping Through the Ashes (Eugene Richards, U.S. 2011, 7 min. 6 sec.), The Blue Room (Eugene Richards, U.S. 2015, 8 min. 52 sec.), and Red Ball of a Sun Slipping Down (Eugene Richards, U.S. 2015, 9 min. 21 sec.). Though confined to a nursing home, 90-year-old Melvin Wisdahl lives an interior life, filled with images of the war he fought in, the struggles of the early Norwegian settlers of North Dakota, his ghost town of a home, his love of the ever-evolving and threatened land.
