A Day's Pleasure, Shoulder Arms screenings (2017-Jul-10 @ 1:30 p.m.)
2017-Jul-10 @ 13:30 - 14:39
The Dryden will screen A Day's Pleasure (Charles Chaplin, U.S. 1919, 24 min., 35mm), and Shoulder Arms (Charles Chaplin, U.S. 1918, 45 min., 35mm) with live piano by Philip C. Carli for Independence Day and Silent Tuesday.
The classic Chaplin short A Day's Pleasure reminds us how aggravating a day out with the family can be, while Shoulder Arms offers a sincere and tasteful satire of trench warfare in World War I.
