Although Kate St. John was a member of the Dream Academy through all their albums, she has also ventured off on her own. She released her first solo album "Indescribable Night" (see the Kate St. John page for a little more information) in 1995, and a new album "Second Sight" in 1997. Prior to that was "The Familiar" in 1992 which was recorded with Roger Eno. It's a great album, but it doesn't fit into standard categories, although I'd place it on the new age side of folk rock.
In 1995, she was featured on "Future Perfect". with track 10, "For The Love Of You" and track 11, "Your Promised Land". Real audio clips are available on Amazon.
She was a part of Chanel Light Vessel (one of
Bill Nelson's
bands) for the recording of their album
Automatic,
and played in Van
Morrison's band. Prior to The Dream Academy, she was part of The
Ravishing Beauties, and has appeared live with
The Coal Porters
and on television with Jools Holland's Rhythm And Blues Orchestra.
